One day the Library woke up and decided it needed a bit of a change. It used its mental powers to instruct the librarians and the powers-that-be to build a better library in a better place. Next door seemed like just the place, it was previously an old people’s home and it had many, many rooms and corridors, just perfect for a library.

It instructed the librarians and powers-that-be to work very hard and move it next door. The Library had to be very patient as many things had to happen first. The powers-that-be had to raise a lot of money, some of the money came from the government and some came from the powers-that-be, they felt the library was VERY IMPORTANT and needed to be housed in the best place possible.

Then the architects had to come in with their plans and the builders had to come in and work very hard to make the building the best it could possibly be.

This all took a lot of time and one day it was finally finished. Yesterday was the grand opening, the Library was very happy. There were lots of people at the opening ceremony, the weather was just perfect, even the Premier Mr Ted Baillieu came to pay homage to the library and tell everyone how wonderful it was. Even better were all the people come to do things in its corridors and rooms.

This was a very happy Library, the building was wonderful and new, there was lots of room for the books and for the books of other libraries and also for many other activities.

The Library was very proud of its new name. The Lamm Jewish Library of Australia!

  1. What a great author, my 19 month old nephew loves books, dogs and trucks just like his Pop drives! I’d be honored as an Aunty to give this to my gorgeous nephew. I know he will love it for years to come.
