There are some fabulous events out there which seem to be unadvertised but I suspect that’s mainly because I don’t read the right papers. I picked up a pamphlet a few days ago with the intent of reading it carefully and enjoying as much as I had time for but I did my usual and didn’t get around to looking at it until last night. It’s now half over and I’m regretting missing some wonderful looking events. I’m rather annoyed at having missed Meet the Producers of the Miss Fisher Mysteries, not that I like the Phrynne Fisher but it would have been good. One of the producers, Deb Cox has an impressive CV, I can’t show you as I can’t find her on IMDB.

One event I can do, either this Saturday, next Saturday or by myself is the Walking Tour of Murrumbeena. Every suburb has its own exciting history, when I was young I did a project about Hawthorn, received my best mark ever, there was lots of history there which I’m not sharing now. This walking tour includes the artistic Boyd family. You can do this walk with historian, Colin Smith, as a guide starting at 10am on either Saturday 21st June or Saturday 28th June from the corner of Neerim Road and Tuckett Streets, Murrumbeena or by yourself using the QR codes shown at various places along the route.

If you’re in the vicinity why not have a browse of the remaining events and attend something. It looks great fun and would be perfect for any would be writer as that’s what you’re all about, storytelling.
