You know, I understand that many of my problems are first world problems, they’re not that important in the general scheme of things. I mean, it’s not as if I don’t have enough to eat and it’s not as if I need a safe place to live and I’ve talking about the wider context because the fact that I’ve not been able to do much on the internet is not really that important in the scheme of things.

The internet has become such a big part of our lives that it’s become very hard to live without it. I’ve been unable to get my email with any sort of regularity, I’ve been locked out of my blog on my desktop and doing anything else is a matter of sitting and being incredibly patient while I do two minutes work in an hour. And, yes, there’s no typo in that last sentence.

What I wanted to do was finish uploading the photos from Oz Comic Con to Instagram but when I found it took a half hour to just do one I gave that up. I wanted to write for my blog but being locked out makes things rather challenging. I also need to do a lot of stuff for uni as it seems I’ve passed my subjects and they’re letting me continue on to more study. I also have another video or two to upload to Youtube but the last one took more than five hours. I won’t mention all the Discworld stuff I really need to do.

How am I managing to write today? Thank heavens for mothers who have modern stuff and an old laptop that is less slow than a wet weekend but faster than my internet at home. It seems I can access my blog from my laptop and when things get sorted at home I’ll be able to gain access there as well and all will be well.

I will return tomorrow to drink Mum’s tea and write a summary of Authors by Alphabet as well as to write the last of my thoughts for Oz Comic Con for Friday. Hopefully we’ll have internet by the time I write for Monday and everything will be back to normal but who knows…
