Conflict of Lions by Terence Strong
Conflict of Lions by Terence Strong

A heart-thrilling ride through an uprising in Africa! Actually, maybe not heart-thrilling but that’s what I’m saying. Here’s the paragraph from the back of the book.

The pulsating inside account of an SAS peace mission that finds itself pitted against the insidious forces of Colonel Gadaffi.

There you go, that’s a little more normal.

This is a fascinating story, it takes you inside a revolution in a place called Free Africa. The revolution is being fuelled by Russia and Colonel Gaddafi while the British SAS is on the side of the government. I can’t possibly tell you who wins for spoilery type reasons but that’s really only part of the story. And I’d really love it if the love interest could somehow find its way out of the story as that bit bores me silly, but I do understand that some people love that kind of stuff.

Focussing on the rest of the book. There’s politics which always makes for an interesting read. There’s action which I try to follow and some of this actually made sense for a change. There are a few interesting characters, one in particular who thinks protocol doesn’t give good information and when he lands in the country heads straight for the bars and pubs to find out the real goss. Funnily enough, despite not being the main character he ends up saving the day. Words win!

Terence Strong is still writing and I’d be happy to include a little information from his website but the background is black and it made my eyes reel, I couldn’t read anything on it.
