There are so many different directions I could take with this subject and I’ve mostly chosen to direct you to webcams. My favourite are in Africa so here are two photos I took directly from the Africam webcams last night and strangely enough I’ve linked them with books. They’re followed by a video of Komodo Dragons.

Elephants Can Remember or so Agatha Christie tells us, it’s a pity I don’t remember her book, I must have read it many years ago when the collection belonged to my sister. Should time permit I will read it again.

The Good Husband of Zebra Drive written by Alexander McCall Smith is a lovely book and I seem to be talking about detective books today but that’s not really the case. A friend recommended I write a book and I found the perfect quote for it in this book but alas, the publishers haven’t returned my query about using it.

David Attenborough talks about trying not to get up close and personal to Komodo Dragons in Zoo Quest for a Dragon. A truly exciting book giving us a new view of the Indonesian islands and the Komodo Dragon. I enjoyed watching this video, it shows the Komodo Dragons in all their splendour, at about 50 seconds you can see them walking down (and up) a path as if they’re taking a stroll through Flinders Street and obeying traffic signals.
