Apologies in retrospect and advance

Suzie Eisfelder

I’m over-committed, many people know this. Sometimes it catches up with me and things don’t get done.

Early Thursday morning I drove to pick up my passenger and head off to Adelaide. It was the Australian Discworld Convention and we were preparing to have the time of our lives. It was a lovely drive with lots of madness. If you’re a member of the Victorian Discworld Klatch you might have noticed some of it. I popped a small whiteboard in the car and we used it for writing silly messages. We photographed these and posted the messages to the group. Some of them are so absolutely silly that no-one except us will understand. I’m shaking my head as I think of them.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday were dedicated to the convention. I was head of Ops so had little time to sit down and write. But ignoring that, the internet in my room only worked once, for a half hour, making it rather challenging to write anything.

Monday morning I was so exhausted I couldn’t think of writing. We were supposed to be leaving at a relatively early hour to drive back home. I was waylaid by people needing to talk to me and it was after 10am that we finally drove out. I got back home at 11pm. Tired? Really?

I am so behind on my uni stuff I’m now going to take a break from blogging until next week. I plan to be back on Monday morning but I’ll see how I go with catching up.

When I’m back on board I’ll return to my regularly scheduled articles. Fridays will be devoted to the Australian Discworld Convention until I run out of things to say.
