Camber of Culdi - Katherine Kurtz

This is Volume I in the Legends of Camber of Culdi, the greatest of all the magical Deryni.

$17.00

200 years before Kelson was king of Gwynedd, Camber of Culdi – patron of Deryni magic – watched helplessly as the Kingdoms were ruined by the Deryni rule of Imre and his incestuous sister.  He could do nothing, even when his peasants were killed and his son murder by Imre.
Then he discovered a living descendant of the old Haldane kings – a humble monk.  Could this Haldane brave Imre’s magic to claim the Deryni throne?

This softcover volume was published by Ballantine Fantasy in 1976.  It has some reading creases on and along the spine, a little bumping to the corners and the price on the front cover has been blacked out with texta.  It might be a first edition as it ‘First Time in Print’ on the back cover and I can’t find another publishing date prior to this one.

I love the magic of this series and recommend them to anyone with a strong stomach.
