Gumbles in Summer - S.A. Wakefield
Product Information Gumbles in Summer - S.A. Wakefield Deep in the bush live some very strange creatures… Bottersnikes are lazy, nasty, creatures who lurk in rubbish-dumps and take advantage of the kindly Gumbles. Bottersnikes have green, wrinkly skin, cheese-grater noses and long, pointed ears that go red when they are angry - which is most of the time. Gumbles are cheerful and friendly and can be squashed into any shape without being hurt at all. This is handy for the Bottersnikes. With a cry of 'GOT YOU!' they grab the Gumbles and pop them into jam tins. Then the evil Bottersnikes can make the Gumbles work whenever anything needs to be done around their rubbish-dump home. In the heat of summer, the Gumbles plans to cool off in the creek are soon interrupted by the squabbling Bottersnikes. This softcover volume was published in 1990 by Collins Publishers Australia. It is ex-library with appropriate stickers and stamps. It has a remaindered mark on the base.
